CAST AND CREW OF THE MOVIE:
Lead Cast: Sai Dharam Teja, Regina Cassandra, Adah Sharma and others
Director: Harish Shankar
Music Director: Mickey J Meyer
Producer: Dil Raju
REASONS FOR PROPAGANDA:
Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej, who has one hit and one flop in his kitty, is back with another entertainer and he has 'Gabbar Singh' director Harish Shankar as support. Let's see if this combo has hit right notes or not.
Subramanyam (played by Sai Dharam Tej) is a money minded guy who goes to US to earn as much money as he can to completely fulfill the needs of his family. Sita (played by Regina), elopes to US on her marriage day as she fell in love with her facebook friend.
After getting cheated by him, Sita is left alone in U.S. Now, Subramanyam comes into her life and takes care of her. They decide to act as a married couple to win the prize money of $25,000, organized by an NRI (played by Naga babu), who gives importance to values and relations. Eventually Subramanya and Sita have to fly back to India to attend Sita's sister's marriage. Subramanyam is forced to act as husband of Sita to convince Naga Babu.
Why the goons try to get Subramanyam? How Sita's sister's marriage links with the fake relation of Subramanyam and Sita? How he convinced everyone in the family forms the rest of the story.
Sai Dharam Tej has given a credible performance. He is growing as an actor with every film. Although, he tried to imitate Pawan in various ways, he should concentrate on his skills, as he is a talented actor.
Regina not only looked gorgeous, she has given her career best performance. She is impeccable in emotional scenes.
Adah Sharma looked her best in the film, although she had very limited screen time.
Actors like Naga Babu, Suman, Rao Ramesh, Brahmanandam, Fish Venkat etc have done good jobs.
Comedy worked big time in the film. Surprisingly, Fish Venkat outsmarted Brahmi with his comedy timing.
Director has succeeded in mixing comedy and emotional scenes well.
While first half is breezy, second half is emotional and family based.
Routine story might not digest to all the sections of audience.
Even the screenplay is very much predictable but it is dealt with nice characterisations and dialogues.
Harish Shankar has made a grand comeback after the debacle of Ramayya Vastavayya. Although, he could not repeat Gabbar Singh or even Mirapakay, he still made a complete family entertainer which can entertain audience.
Mickey J Mayer's music is good and the placement of songs is also nice.
Cinematography by Ram Parsad and editing by Pravin Pudi are apt.
Production values by Dil Raju are superb. Most of the film is shot in US and he did not compromise on richness.
Dialogues by Harish Shankar are top notch.
APNC VERDICT: Stale but nonetheless a Complete Commercial Entertainer.
