Afghanisthani ruler Alauddin Khalji – Ranveer Singh in his way to Invade the Indian country becomes the ruler of Delhi Empire. He decides to Invade Rajput area too where he comes to know about the beauty of Rani Padmavathi – Deepika Padukone. He wants to win over her and wants to dethrone her husband Raja Ratan Singh – Shahid Kapoor for sure.

The entire story from there revolves around how much succeeded he got after he attempted to win over Padmavathi and Rajput Town at the same time.

The whole movie runs around a single man who is none other than Ranveer Singh. The star hero plays villain role in this movie and will be seen as wildebeest with mind blowing arrogant ways. The grandness in his character is shown so clearly in all aspects.

Padmavathi character played by Deepika Padukone with utmost superb role. Deepika Padukone brought some great depth and deep issues into the movie. Her character starts with dull note but later on movie going through the end She wins the heart of audience. Shahid Kapoor’s character is limited.

Background score and visuals re big time super assets or this movie. Shahid and Ranveer Singh’s combination worked well.

Padmavaat aka Padmavathi Review: Engaging and boring at times

The only minus point of this movie is length, Movie goes on and on and on brings patience down for the onlookers. The first half has lot of drags where in the mass people who expect war fare and fights will be surely disappointed. Though back ground music is great this movie has average songs which is another minus point. The fiction was added more than original story and chopping too was happened.

Padmavaat can be called a technical brilliance. Every rupee spent was shown on screen with great drama and performances. This historical drama with finest work from Sanjay and awesome on screen performance from Deepika and Ranveer will be in the minds of Indian cinema lovers for long time. This is a larger than life film and one should carry tons of patience for its lengthy narration. Out of all controversies and wonderful grandeur this movie will work on the big screen as well.
