You may call him as Natural star or Successful star but Nani is in full swing with his recent back to back hits such as Gentleman, Nenu Local, Ninnu Kori and MCA… His new film KRISHNARJUNA YUDHAM released with good expectations and Nani performed the dual role in this Movie. Let’s see what is in the movie and how far this movie reached audience Expectations.
Story: Krishna (Nani) is Jovial kind of guy from Chittoor and he falls in love with Riya (Ruksar Mir) in his first meet and she is the granddaughter of their village sarpanch. Both of them spend some quality interaction and fall in each other’s love and at the same time Arjun (Nani) who is an Indian based Rockstar in Prague who likes impressing girls and this time he meets Subba Lakshmi (Anupama) and starts flirting her, Upset with Arjun behavior Subba Lakshmi leaves to India and now the actual story starts when both Riya and Subba Lakshmi goes missing at the same time. Rest of the story revolves how Krishna and Arjun meet each other and find their respective Girl Friends.
Pros and Cons: Krishnarjuna Yudham Might be Nani’s best film in terms of acting, Not even a single scene is without him. He nailed Krishna character in native Chittoor slang and will highly appreciate by mass especially and Ruksar done justice as his Girlfriend and the way story narrated in the Village backdrop is simply a feast for both eyes and ears because of DOP Karthik Ghattamaneni and Music Director Hiphop Tamizha who gave good background score but the songs could have been better. Comedy is also good and the scenes with Nani friend Mahesh Vitta are Hilarious and Dhaari choodu song elevates the film a bit
On the Flipside scenes between Arjun (Nani) and Anupama could have been taken better because the chemistry between is not that good when you weigh with the story, Brahmaji’s comedy is hilarious and make whole theater laugh which balanced the scenes when Arjun is shown.
Technical Aspects: Production values are also good and captured nicely especially the villages setup has been showcased in a neat manner and the scenes in Prague can be taken more beautifully. Camera work and music is ok ok. Dialogues written in the Chittoor slang are quite nice and give a lot of depth to Nani’s role. Editing is not at all okay as many elevation scenes for Nani could have been slightly trimmed which made the audience feel bored
Director Gandhi has done a neat job in the first half as his screenplay of narrating the two stories is impressive but as the main story starts audience will scratch their heads a bit with the Kidnap drama as everything predictable with no highlight scenes. As the main concept is on woman trafficking and you will see many kidnappers and one cannot recognize the main villain in the film until the end
Analysis: If we conclude the whole story KRISHNARJUNA YUDHAM is out and out Nani one-man show from the start to till the end and as usual Nani did this dual role with ease and will definitely attract the mass with his Village Boy character. First half is neatly done and Second half is weak which will let the audience to feel as nothing special in the film
Keeping the holiday season and Nani who rarely had any anti-fans, this film will probably in the safe zone and commercially an average flick.
Movie Rating: 2.75/5
