Polling results of Karnataka Assembly Elections were out yesterday BJP won the majority of seats. As a last minute surprise, the Congress party has conformance alliance with JDS by offering the Chief Minister post to JDS candidate Kumaraswamy.
It is being heard that Congress was never more spontaneous in taking such a strategic decision during poll results but the party took everyone by surprise with its master plan. Both the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao made phone calls to Sonia Gandhi to help her with the decision of alliance with JDS to form the government. Thus the two Telugu leaders played a key role in the formation of Congress JDS alliance. Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal had contacted Sonia Gandhi and suggested her the same as well.

On the other side BS Yeddyurappa, the current chief minister who is 9 seats away from majority has met the Governor and asked him to give them an opportunity adding that they have the majority including 2 independent MLAs. We will have to wait and see which party would finally form the government and who would be elected as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
