AP Police to set up Cyber Investigation Office

AP Police have announced that they will soon be starting an investigation office with their team to put an end to the ongoing cyber crimes in the state. The setup would be completed by the end of the year and more than 2000 members would join the forces.

The police further stated that their inspectors and constables would be assigned to their respective positions and are all set for the training. Special courses regarding the cyber crime investigation will be held in Ongole and Anantapur. After looking at the growth rate of 61% of the cyber crimes from 2016 to 2017, the police department have come up with the decision.

Crimes related to debit, credit card and OTP hacking are said to be the main target. The police department will be commencing the training sessions in no time and would take strict action on the culprits.
