As per the early morning reports, renowned Telugu novelist Yaddanapudi Sulochana Rani has left her last breath at her daughter Sailaja’s house in California. Her daughter has confirmed the news saying that Sulochana Rani left her last breath in her sleep. The last rituals of the novelist will be done in California by her family members.
Speaking about Sulochana Rani, the EMESCO publisher Vijay Kumar stated, ” I was informed on phone about the death of Sulochana by her daughter. The Novelists’ writings which are quite a teaching about woman’s self respect, were mostly published by our company. Nothing in the industry can restore her loss. ‘Secretary’ is one of her famous novels which is even well known for today.”
Sulochana was born in 1940 in Kaja village, Krishna district. She initially started her career writing novels based on the lives she witnessed in her daily life and then moved on to fantasy stories. Though her eventual novels were more of fiction she made sure that the characters in her novels must not be far away from the reality.
