Tollywood well known writer cum actor Madala Ranga Rao passed away with heart attack today. As per the reports he was found dead early in the morning at 5 A.M at Star Hospital, Hyderabad. Ranga Rao was being treated for the last few days in hospital as he had been suffering from health issues.
Madala Ranga Rao was well known as Red Star in Telugu Film Industry back at that time. Apart from writing scripts and acting in films, he has also produced a number of projects which went on to become super successful. Ranga Rao who was born in Ongole, made his debut in Tollywood with the movie ‘Chairman Chalamayya’.
He made Yuvatharam Kadhilindi which was awarded by the golden Nandi in 1980. Erra Mallelu, Erra Pavuralu, Maro Kshetram, Maha Prasthanam, Navodayam, Viplava Shankam, Balipeetam pai Bharatha Naari, Tholi Poddu, Erra Suryudu, Janam Manam and Praja Shakti were the renowned films he acted in.
Ranga Rao’s dead body was taken to his son Madala Ravi’s residence. Movie artists would pay condolences to the ace today in Film Nagar. Ranga Rao was also a member of Praja Natya Mandali.
