Though Okka Ammayi Thappa got decent reviews and positive response from the audiences, it unfortunately ended up as a flop at the box office. Director Rajasimha Tadinada who helmed the megaphone for the romantic thriller had reportedly attempted suicide in Mumbai.
As per the reports Rajasimha took in a high dose of sleeping pills at his own residence and fell unconscious. He was taken to the nearest hospital in right time and is now being treated. The writer turned director took the decision after going through depression due to lack of opportunities.
He has worked as a dialogue writer for Gunasekhar’s Rudramadevi and was appreciated by both critics and audiences for his extra-ordinary work. Later hero Sundeep Kishan along with his uncle Chota K. Naidu gave his first break as a director for Okka Ammayi Thappa. We will have to see how the hero and the cinematographer would respond hearing the news.
Hope Rajasimha recovers soon.
