King Nagarjuna’s recent release, Officer opened to poor reviews and disastrous mouth talk. Despite the Akkineni hero’s craze and following, the crime thriller managed to collect not more than Rs 50 lakhs on its first day hinting at its poorest box office run.
Officer’s box office run has finally come to an end and the numbers confirm that the RGV’s flick turned out the biggest disaster that the Telugu Film Industry has ever witnessed. The film did not even collect a sum of Rs 1 crore putting the buyers in huge loss. It was sold for around Rs 3 crores.
RGV going against Pawan Kalyan and encouraging Sri Reddy to make derogatory comments on him is one of the major reason for the movie being a total dud.
Even before Officer hit the screens, ‘fans and cinegoers were of no expectations on the film which led it to a commercial disaster. It is also heard that RGV lost the chance to direct Akhil Akkineni as an effect of the flop. Hope Nag at least, would make a strong comeback with his next movie.
